Tulip fields

Tired after all the walking yesterday and pushing mum around the gardens so decided not to go to the gym or out for a run. Today was a day for visiting some private gardens in the area of reclaimed land which the Netherlands created in the 1950’s onwards. The weather turned today and it was a lot winder, colder and some heavy rain showers, which meant we couldn’t spend much time out in the first 2 gardens but they were nice to see. It was dryer by the time we got to the last garden so we were able to have a better walk around. They were OK to see but I’d have preferred to go to an actual tulip grower to see how they bulbs are planted and harvested instead. Got back and went back up town with a couple of other people from the group to a nice steak restaurant opposite where we eat last night. Went back to the hotel to call J and finish the packing.
