Fish, Sand, Wishing Well, Bridge.
A lovely day out with six of our grandchildren. Johanna had booked Ruby and Eric a soft play at Rose's Country Fayre Garden Centre, near Newent, Gloucestershire. Wikipedia says it is in the Forest of Dean but I would never have guessed that as it's not far from the M50, which goes from M5 Strensham Services (Worcestershire) to Ross-on-Wye (Herefordshire), connecting to the A40 which takes you to South Wales. Bobs Blips might be able to put me right on that.
After the soft play we went to another garden centre right next door, 3 Shires Garden Centre. It is huge and has a number of cafe's, lots of different areas for plants and garden associated equipment, and a lake with hundreds of Koi carp getting constantly fed by children with 50p bags of food!
We also found it has a large sand area with a great playing structure and slide. The children loved that and the sand was clean, no animal poo, which I was surprised at but there are no houses for a long way in the area. (It is on the road to Dymock).
It also has a wishing well and luckily I had a stack of 50p coins they could throw in and make a wish. Hendrix told us he wished Dinosaurs were still alive! I say Luckily, but I'd have been even more lucky if I'd had a stack of 10p coins rather than 50p!!!!
In other news - Julia and I got up at :03:00 and set off 30 minutes later to catch her plane to her detachment. She's now arrived and had a call with the girls early evening before they went to bed.
I got home at 05:20 and managed to sleep until 08:30, which was good for the busy morning we had.
