I was getting some US dollars for our next cruise and the lovely lady behind the desk said I should exchange spare currency I have and not let it sit around as it might become withdrawn and worthless. 

So up I went with a mixture of various currencies inc. Icelandic and Danish Kroner, which were fine. However, my East Caribbean dollars are worthless now, as they have been replaced with new notes … so lesson  learnt, don’t hang on to left over currencies.

Coincidentally, I noticed for the first time, King Charles on the obverse of a 50 pence coin I got in change today, which I thought was quite apt since it’s the first anniversary since the coronation.
