Fireworks

Well, sort of...

Today is the 4th of July celebration in the U.S. and tonight there will be fireworks. Any minute now actually... We are home, all tucked in and not on a blanket enjoying a bright, spectacular fireworks display. Piper, our youngest dog, is TERRIFIED of fireworks and thunder (and, and, and) so leaving her at home alone just seems cruel.

When I happened along this seed clock, on our walk this evening, I saw faux fireworks in the making. :) I have no idea what kind of flower it used to be... it's way too late for dandelions and it's way too big to have been one. (This is approximately 3.5 inches in diameter.) But, it sure did have the explosive shape of a sparkler or a fireworks burst. So, here you go... my (and Piper's) kind of 4th of July fireworks. :)

Bigger is better.
