The Dalton Arms
We had leisurely coffees with Keith and Annette, this morning, before they set off home, and the Minx and I decided to head on across to Glasson Dock for lunch.
The weather grew progressively nicer as we approached the coast, to the point where when we got out of the car, I half-thought we should have put on some suntan lotion.
Not that we were exposed for long, as we made our way pretty much directly to the Dalton Arms. I think I came here last summer with Dan and Abi, and it was good then, but perhaps it has changed hands because the service and food today were great.
After that, we popped 'round to the new deli that The Smokehouse have opened and bought a few bits and pieces before heading home.
And in a late change to plans, Dan decided to come home, as he thinks he might have tonsillitis again, resulting an early evening drive to Skipton to collect home from the station (as the West Coast timetable was a mess).
I'm much happier having the kids here when they're ill.
