Why All The Long Faeces?
On This Day In History
1940: John Steinbeck wins the Pullitzer Prize for The Grapes Of Wrath
Quote Of The Day
"There ain't no sin and there ain't no virtue. There's just stuff people do."
(John Steinbeck, The Grapes Of Wrath )
Back to work after the Golden Week holiday. A brilliant afternoon. I love teaching this lesson; making faeces and urine by crushing bananas and corn flakes mixed with water (saliva) in a Ziploc bag (mouth), passing it through a funnel (esophagus) into another Ziploc bag (stomach) filled with orange juice (stomach acid), then passing the chyme through the leg of a stocking (large and small intestines), squeezing out the liquid until the chyme reaches the bottom of the stocking (bowel), cutting a hole in the foot (anus) to squeeze out the faeces. The juice (urine) collected in the bowl is then poured into a measuring cup.
Disgusting? No, it's just stuff people do.
Everyone Needs To Poo
