Day of rest
Mr. Blackbird said hello at 4:37 Little did he know that I had already been awake for over an hour! Not long after I Auntie mooching about downstairs, I decided to join her in our 1st cup of tea followed by my regular physiotherapy movements laid on the thick rug as the bare floor is still very painful. It’s quite handy having an auntie who is fully trained in orthopaedics;) Auntie was escorted to Chapel by cousin B whilst L and I walked.
An excellent service with some meaningful passages and heartfelt messages.
Mr Whiskers AKA Andrew one of the regular congregation and important choir members brought along the father of yesterday’s blip star, here’s L enjoying the warm cuddles of the stinking little (not so little actually) creature! Essence of ferret won’t be a leading retail success as L’s coat and my jumper can vouch for.!!
Cousin B prepared the Sunday lunch to include the chicken I had cooked the night before.
I walked to my second spiritual gathering in the most beautiful fine drizzle as the sun nuzzled away the clouds. The windless air was bursting with life.
After another sociable service with lots of interesting stories and various songs I walked home in brilliant warm sunshine and at a pace that several snails rushed past me. It was one of those special occasions where peace, tranquility and nature were at one.
Auntie was out for the count when I returned and so I popped a few things into the Camper Van and relaxed by reading a small part of a little booklet I was given earlier that evening.
L arrived spontaneously to chat about the earlier service and a few of life’s challenges.
A warm beverage and gentle conversation helped smooth out the frustration before I joined auntie for a light supper.
I am grateful for the day of rest , it was a pleasant one with messages of hope and joy in the air.
