Suddenly - a cold spring
Well, we've had a few days of lovely warm weather, shirtsleeves, coffee in the sun, and disappearing snow.
However, that has come to a sudden end today. An icy wind blew, the skies were grey, and temperatures never reached double figures.
But Rusty needed a walk so we headed out along a stream valley that finally had dried out enough to get along without big boots on. It turned out the valley was nicely sheltered and it actually felt warm at times, especially when the sun broke through. This was where we found the wood anemones in my blip. They are among the first to come this year. A few more days and the forest floor will be covered in these small white flowers, but the first ones are somehow extra meaningful.
