Working in the Garden

A very pleasant day, after a cool cloudy start. It was time to get into the garden and do some cutting, pruning, weeding etc.

These forget-me-nots came from my parents garden and always remind me of them now they are no longer with us.  As is typical they have spread and it is a constant task to keep them in check, but they provide a much needed splash of colour at the beginning of spring.

I grabbed the macro lens and was able to achieve this shot by photographing them through a hole in a leaf in front of them.
