Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

Luis, from Paraguay

Seeing Luis and Leo was SO FUN!,,,,,. I wanted to recreate the photo from Yesterday but Peter was sick and didn’t want to expose anyone and so was Anne……very unusual, different bugs.  Not covid. So I had to make do with 4 for now.   Luis and Leo arrived with roses and wine and the Paraguayan flag they take everywhere.   Turns out they have been in Paris the same amount of time but just actually got married.  Leo is an architect and Luis a critical care (ICU) doc not ER as I miswrote yesterday.  They both insist  that Luis was inspired to become a dr. the  year he lived with us which he says he loved.  A different way of living.    His parents wanted him to be the family business accountant but he lasted 2 days , before deciding to take the exam for med school.   He works hard, long hours, but gets glorious time off and they have been all over.   No problem thinking we were going to entertain them… they drove by the old high school on way in from the airport and were up at 4:00 am walking to volunteer park for the sunrise(5:45). And to see the house we lived in then.  After our eclectic pizza lunch and lots of talk they were off to Seattle center.   Lots of plans for what to do including Mt. Rainier.    We will definitely see some more of them before they leave on Friday.   Tatum will have a place to stay if she goes to Paris from London this summer. .. hopefully Peter and Anne will be well before they leave.    These guys are a delight!
More in extra.
A bit of drizzle on this opening day of boating….and for the next few days…
