Tear Me Down Like Roger Moore

My Dear Princess and Dear Fellow,

A very busy Saturday!

Caro and I did a lot of chores - we went to the mall to pick up groceries and sundries and cat stuff.

Then we took a break in the form of a trip to the movies to see "Back to Black".

Caro, as you know, loves a music biog and she loved Amy Winehouse so it was right up her street.

As for me, I loved the music but thought the film was a bit bland. I don't know if there were legal reasons but the explanations given for Amy's downfall in the film were basically twofold:

- She was upset because her nan died
- She just CAME that way

Her waster husband and overbearing dad were definitely let off the hook in this film, so there was no real explanation as to Amy's tortured character other than she liked a drink.

I mean. Look at the poster. Even THAT is a bit by the numbers.

But the music was good.

After the movie, we did MORE chores and then headed back home, tired but happy. The slow cooker had done its magic and we sat down to a lamb stew and an episode of "Survivor".

Life is good. Life is calm. I have no big news. I am happy about this. I'm guessing that Amy Winehouse's daily news was WAY more exciting than mine.

S.
