Glen hive

Arkle walked with some company.

Wax rendering, chores.

Took arkle to out apiary. I had made a new entrance so bees come in underneath. All wood rescued from various skips.

Walked arkle through the woods and set up the hive.

Chat with the laird and lady.

Dinner made.

Dog walk awaits.

Glen hives were designed to hold 16 frames and are double skinned. The bees would stay all year round in the Highland Glen's.
