Apple potential

Despite the four bullfinch seen feasting here a few weeks ago.

This apple tree is more than 40 years old, John has pruned and shaped it over the last 25 years, many of which are recorded on bf over the last eleven years, possibly one of my most blipped subjects, excluding cats of course.

The apples are not that good and in recent years hardly any, (that reminds me of a joke, when complaining about the awful food he added ‘and such small portions’ …).  It is good to see the blossom, this year all the apple trees are looking very pretty.

Extra show the pink magnolia in flower, as with the white this is the best year for both shrubs. I liked the second extra also showing a pretty crab apple tree in bud and the Acer in the background.  And the apple tree.

4,000 Blipfoto’s, I am always amazed when the numbers come round, this is a special community, thank you for your comments, Blipfoto’s and words.  Also a big thank you to the wondrous volunteers who work behind the scene to keep us going.
