Drenched
(4/5/24)
A day of rain has been forecast, so schools have switched to remote learning. I had plenty to keep me busy, so G spent the morning tidying up the kitchen.
Today's storm was nothing like the one of 16th April, although I heard later it had rained more heavily in other parts of the city. The branches of the flame tree had gone dark brown. I took a few photos from the front room window.
It was all over by the early afternoon, and Karama dried up (almost) instantly. The rain left behind a beautifully pleasant afternoon/evening. As things have fallen into place so well over the last few days, we decided we would go to the Creek to enjoy the drop in temperature and for me to get some shots of the city without dust in the air! It is also rachelwhynot's birthday, so we were going to toast her.
As it happens, a colleague from work was able to join us (my extra). It was her first time at the Sky Bar. She loved it!
