Love that face

What a day. Got to Sandton Clinic for Arnie’s ultrasound, reception at radiology asked for the referral letter that we both forgot, so it was a rush home for me and returned with it.

Arnie changed into a spiffy pair of purple pajamas and I settled into a seat to wait for him. A couple of minutes later a sliding door was shoved along behind me taking the back of my top with it. The top now has two holes down the back.

Report collected, we headed back to the car which then wouldn’t start. Flatbed truck towed us home, and the driver gave the battery a zap and I was able to drive it to the garage to get a new battery.

Next, the appointment with the cardiologist. The ultrasound seems fine, still waiting to see the doc about blood tests but they indicate severe anemia again. The cardiologist gave Arnie a thorough check up and the results are, no cataract surgery until at least October, he is being weaned off the cortisone over the next six weeks. They will not be doing a second Cardioversion for his atrial fibrillation. He needs to see the neurologist/rheumatologist in the next couple of weeks, and continue to take his mountain of tablets, including anticonvulsants, just in case the seizures reoccur.

Home to take this wee guy and his sister for a wander, then I picked up Sue who treated us to a delicious dinner.

Much later than normal, with my eyes clapping together and bed beckoning, we joined the Tiq Gathering online for a wee catch up.

And just like that, my birthday was over, not one that I will forget in a hurry, but there was lots of fun in between the drama.
