Round the tree
The ’round the tree race’ at Great Torrington May Fair is a long-held tradition. In the past, when there were fewer trees and bushes on the commons because of grazing, the runners used to plunge straight down over Castle Hill and wade through the river.
A lovely evening produce a good turnout with everyone getting into the spirit of participation.
Earlier L had dropped me off to collect the campervan which recently passed its MOT.
Traffic in and around bideford was horrendous for some reason.
On returning home L and I enjoyed a few brief moments sitting in the warm sunshine before partaking in a light lunch of fresh fish bought earlier at the dockside.
After lunch became productive by way of campervan tinkering and adding some essential items for a possible future trip or two.
Enjoy your weekend everyone and drive safely looking out for vulnerable road users.
