The sun came out eventually

I spent a lovely afternoon with Marpaul and the two dogs. We walked by the marshes at Port Carlisle and then went for afternoon tea (china teacups!) at an excellent café in Bowness-on-Solway. Just before I set off back, and as the sun came out, we went down to watch the haaf netters making their way across the Solway sand and mudflats to catch the rising tide. More about haaf netting here.
