Gymnastics and Baldy-Head kisses
What a day for the girls. We, Julia and I, walked them to school this morning as it was raining quite heavily. Yesterday they got quite dirty from the mud and muck splashing up from the tyres.
They had a morning assembly where they were BOTH awarded Gold Star certificates.
HETTY - "For being super confident and enthusiastic to be a member of class 3"
BELLA - "For settling into class 2 life so easily and trying so hard - especially in phonics".
Also, this afternoon, after school, they had Gymnastics with their new leotards. They loved it and the gymnastics coach said they are absolute naturals, full of grace and even performing finishes like professionals.
They gave us about half an hours demonstration of what they had done in gymnastics. It was so lovely, and a bit funny at times of course.
They really are enjoying this new school, and all of the other children appear to be their friends.
This evening we had Daniel with Buddy and Hendrix. We all had an Indian take-away from our excellent local Indian, Polash. No idea why it's called that, I must ask them next time I'm there.
So now it's bedtime and I'm in the kitchen tidying up and putting the dishes into the dishwasher etc. I was called to say goodnight to the girls and met them coming down the stairs.
They don't like me kissing them on the cheeks as my beard is either tickly, when it's longer, or spikey, when it is shorter as it is now. So they've invented the 'Baldy Head Kiss' for goodnight kisses. Did I tell you they make us laugh. :-)))
