John Craske …Fisherman and Artist 1883 -1943

The museum was open today so I went in …found out about this local artist . A fisherman from Sheringham who came to Dereham and had a fish shop .He was very ill with influenza in WW1 .When he came home he was confined to the house …..he was often very ill but when he had better moments he started painting and producing beautiful embroidery what he called needlework pictures!
