Speckled Wood

Another lovely day which I devoted to the garden. Took down the hen pen and started getting rid of all the feeders. Planted the tomatoes, cucumbers and courgettes out in the tunnel and set up the summer watering system. The butterflies are starting and we have seen Peacocks, Speckled woods and Orange tips.
KK phoned to say he had enjoyed his first 2 night field exercise even although they were soaking wet all the time and that he has now passed his orientation phase so was presented with a blue berry. He was very pleased as quite a number of his troop failed and are leaving.

Tonight is gin night so it's the last of the pink gin with some plain crisps. Must add gin to next weeks chopping list
