On a bench

I work at the Sanger Institute, where a lot of the genome was mapped, so I am surrounded by scientists, around 1500 of them and a large number of these seem to spend large parts of the day sitting on benches (well tables) drinking coffee and chatting. I assume that a lot of work is done on these benches, who knows there may be the next Watson & Crick in this blip!
