Double Header

To two exhibitions today. Starting at the Hayward with a joyous collection of big colourful shapes. Fun although not many you could take home because of their huge size.

Then on to the Courtauld to see a small show of Auerbach charcoal portraits. I was wowed by these because of their uncanny three dimensionality and light. 

Coming out of the Aurbach rooms it was a surprise to see what treasures are on display in the permanent collection. (See extra). So many beautiful impressionists and 20th century British pictures.
