Lavender Web

Most of the day in the hospital with my Mum again - who is not doing too well, and is totally confused. In the end, I wrote out for her: "Mum, you are in Good Hope Hospital because you had a fall in your bedroom and broke your hip. Be good and DRINK lots! Love, Daveen". Apparently, she was asleep, still clutching this note, when Lydie went in to help with her tea tonight.

But before I went in this morning, hung the washing in the garden and saw this beauty.

On the outside, it's been a glorious summer day, and we had dinner, with my aunt, in the garden - salmon and strawberries, washed down with a flavoursome Australian rosé.
