Inside the dome of the Reichstag Building

We arrived about 11pm last night and were taken for a short walk to get our bearings. Our hotel is about 10 mins walk from Potsdamer Platz. It was a warm evening and lots of people were out and about.

This morning we did the usual coach tour round the city to see the main places of interest. There is so much history and development, that it is good to put the facts we already know in to some degree of context.

We visited the dome of the Reichstag Building after lunch. Advanced registration is required, so I did this on line from home last week. Entrance is free and you get an audioguide which keeps you supplied with info, great views......well worth a visit.

We wandered back to the hotel via the Brandenburg Gate, Holocaust Memorial, Topography of Terror and Check point Charlie. We had a meal on the way back as I don't think that my feet will allow another trek out tonight to find a restaurant!!
