Different views (Day 3279)
It was surprisingly warm for the morning wander with Sigyn, and I should really have left my jacket in the truck.
A bit later I headed to Rendall to get a look at a bathroom refit I will be starting on Monday. It is a job that has been booked since the tail end of last year, but I have had to postpone it until now.
From there it was along to Stromness. The job was supposed to be changing a couple of tap washers and cutting in a couple of isolation valves on the supplies to the taps. It turned out that there were already isolators in place, but one leaked as soon as I touched it. A bit of a fiddly job to deal with but good to get it out of the way.
Next was a return to a leaking central heating system. I am fairly sure the leaking pipework is hidden in a wall and is inaccessible, so rather than tearing out a kitchen and opening up a wall,.I am giving a leak sealer a try. Fingers crossed it does the job.
I took a quick trip along to the horses to get their rugs off because it was such a nice warm morning.
Back to Mum's next for a quick lunch, then out with Sigyn for a bit of a different wander and the chance for a different view (extra)
After settling Sigyn at Mum's and getting changed, I met up with J and took him out for a ride - his first time on a horse in 30 years - as a thank you for support through recent hard times. George looked after him and Red was much more settled today. It was a great ride in blazing sunshine and I managed to get a reasonable pic of J and George. Next time I reckon my beautiful wife should bring Jeeps along too.
