Brimstone in flight

I have taken pics of the Brimstone butterfly (Gonepteryx rhamni) many times, but never caught it open-winged before. Achieved this through the window, as it visited the Honesty in full flower, by taking a short video on my camera and selecting one frame. (It looked a lot brighter yellow in real life.)

Today's proving to be the fourth day running of warm sunshine. Arrived at the line-dancing venue this morning to discover it's in use as a polling station, so no dance class. Shopped in Grantham instead. Not as good as dancing, but still quite enjoyable as I didn't have to rush. Of course, last week, when the teacher will have warned us about no class this week, I wasn't there! Never mind. There's always next week!

Finished my jigsaw when I got home and very enjoyable this one was, too!
