Farm Game

Yesterday we noticed one of the Sable was limping badly, so the vet as called.  He arrived this afternoon, darted the sable, cleaned out the hoof - he found a wound,  gave her antibiotics etc and then gave her a jab to 'wake her' up again. The whole 'operation' took about ten minutes.  David held her horns - they could do serious damage to the vet (or him).
The male eland seemed to think it was funny - it appears to be laughing but  the giraffe were very concerned and watched carefully (from a distance).
In the evening we had a lovely barbecue meal in the lodge in the game park, watching the sun go down and listening to 'Africa' at night.
