International Workers´ Day

The past 10 years there have been an increase of violation of workers' rights globally. 
87 % of countries violate the right to strike. 
The right to free speech and assembly are restricted in 42 % og the countries. 
79 % violate the right to collective bargain. 
77 % exclude working people from the right to establish or join a trade union.
73 % impede the registration of unions.
Workers and trade union leaders are arrested and detained in 69 countries. 
65 % of countries working people have no or restricted access to justice.

The 10 worst countries for workers are Bangladesh, Belarus, Ecuador, Egypt, Eswatini, Guatemala, Myanmar, Tunisia, The Philippines and Turkey.

The international Workers' Day is also a day for international solidarity and many unions have demand ceasefire in Gaza.
