Mum’s camellia.

Planted just after my mother died in 1998. Flowering well this year.

Flowers were on my mind when I watched the final day of the Masters 2024 from Augusta. No camellias but thousands of azaleas at various locations on the manicured course, 30 plus varieties in many colours. And…. all in bloom on one weekend…. it’s said they use heat lamps and ice to manage this display. I couldn’t possibly comment.
