Tiny ..........

I've never really thought about it but it seems that holly trees have flowers - very tiny flowers!

Having consulted Mr Google we have a female tree - distinguished by the small green "bumps" in the middle of the flowers and you also have to have (Mr G says) a male tree nearby for any berries to happen.  We have berries, as you can see, so maybe the prickly holly at the bottom of the garden is a male - a "buddy" holly so to speak  -  groan!!!  Sorry.
