Chili tomato sauce
Recipe:
A bag of cherry tomatoes (usually the bag that fell to the back of the fridge and was forgotten)
A few cloves of garlic
A chili (or two)
A drop of olive oil
A squidge of tomato puree
A spoonful of honey
A drop of lemon juice
Chuck it in a pan and cook gently for ages - not hot enough to colour any of the ingredients. Keep going until the tomatoes fall, and then keep going a bit longer. Balance the seasoning and add honey or lemon juice as required. It's great with pasta or chicken. Add a load of cannellini beans or butter beans.
