Sea wood bluebells and Griselinia

They arent quite in full bloom but it's good to see the 'proper '  ,bluebells.

We had a nice leisurely walk around Sea wood then drove on to Cark.
We made the right decision to have the 9ft hedge cut down 50 %  But at 5 ft wide  it is hollow inside. I expect it will gradually fill in the centre but it doesnt look good. So we went to get some more Griselinia  to plant in the centre . As it develops we can gradually thin  it back as well as keep it at the same height.
We went to Brooks garden supplies as they said theyd some in stock ( and  cheaper than Beethams as well as 16 miles nearer )

We popped into their  cafe as it was dog friendly and ordered coffee and cake.
After 20 minutes we realised wed been forgotten and I went to ask where it was . The coffee arrived but no cake. It turned out that theyd sold it!  A bit annoying as wed already paid for it. But they did reimburse us. Obviously  Sunday isnt the best day to go as  the girls serving there looked school age.

But we got the hedging plus some
pelargoniums which wont be potted out for a while as the wind is still icy .  But it was sunny with lovely views on our drive there and back so not a bad day
