When I got up this morning, I noticed some discharge from the wound site on my foot. According to the material from the hospital , this can be a sign of infection that can usually be cleared up with antibiotics. So I called the hospital and was seen this afternoon. Sure enough, it didn’t look good, but they cleaned it up, put on a new dressing and gave me antibiotics. Hopefully that does the trick. 

I’m well over the novelty of having a poorly foot.
