Post-prandial stroll

The weather brightened up after lunch so T & I went out for a walk through the Black Spout Woods. I actually became too warm at one point and had to take my coat off !

I experimented using the Merlin App but it seemed to me that the birds stopped singing every time I started to record. However the sounds it did pick up suggested that there were a few wrens about, blackcaps (which I don't recall ever seeing) as well as blue tits, robins, sparrows and blackbirds.

My blip is of the field we cross on our way to the woods -  there is a long established right of way which goes across it but most years it gets ploughed over and the path gradually re-appears as people exercise their right to walk across.
