A bluebell day

Went over to Ilkley to do a bit of shopping and whilst there, I went up to Middleton Wood to check the bluebells out.
The fallen tree has been removed and the paths a lot drier than they were.
I was spoilt by the bluebells when I first visited well over ten years ago. They literally were just one big carpet. Recent years I’ve seen a decline in them. Maybe it’s the change in climate or maybe there is a lot more footfall these days. It’s so easy to damage bluebells and, once they have been, they never recover.
It was still nice to see them :-)
