Glowing

A bit rain-spattered and a bit nibbled in places. But still standing, and bringing a sense of warmth to the chilly garden.
I popped over to see Ruth briefly: a chance to catch up a little, while the boys were out with Josh. She's preparing for an online interview for the MA in Art Therapy that she's applied for.  I'm really hoping she gets a place: it feels like a good time, with Luca due to start full-time school in September.
Later two old friends came over for dinner. Richard made roast chicken with all the trimmings. I got some frozen morello cherries out of the freezer and made clafoutis: a little bonus saved up from last summer's garden crop.
