ONE CITY ONE BOOK

A city near me hosted this communal reading event for this book:

THE HENNA ARTIST

The city encouraged folks to read this book,
talk about it in book clubs; & attend sponsored events. They had a tea, &
henna demonstration.

Today, the author
arrived to discuss the book, in this large auditorium. I always love meeting authors & hearing their insights into the books.

This author spend roughly 10 years writing
& re-writing this novel, set in India,
loosely based on her mother’s generation of
Indian women. It is the first novel in a trilogy. The next in the series features my
favorite character, so I plan to read it, too.

It was a beautiful warm day, perfect for
an adventure.
