A lovely catch up with a a friend this afternoon and just as we finished I happened to walk past the patio doors and noticed this Heron standing in the river.   A quick grab of the camera and two photos taken through the glass, I did try to open the door but as I had my hand on the handle he flew off, what hearing and instincts they have.   Not the perfect picture but taken through glass and about 40 meters away, so I'm pleased it came out as it did.
Another wet morning, we were saturated on our walk and now at 7pm it's sunshine and blue sky although the wind is still cold.
