Stairs

I have spent the vast majority of the day on the staircase, sanding down the treds and removing the bits of paint and stain from the edges where they meet the skirting.  Found a good knack about 7 steps in, wrapping the sandpaper around a wallpaper scraper and using that to really get into the corners.  Neighbour W also leant us some paint stripper to try on the skirting boards which were resisting the electric sander.  Whoever painted them last did a terrible job and the paint is filled with lumps, dog hair and carpet fluff, so it all needs to come off somehow.

I also finished the rather difficult jigsaw that P got me from the charity shop and cooked an unintentionally gritty spag bol.  I think there's a problem with the passata.
