Pool at Emma Gorge El Questro WA

After a hot walk up a valley on a stony track, we arrived at the end of the Emma Gorge trail - and this wonderful pool - the water is mostly cool, but at one end warmer water trickles through the rocks, so you can get in in the warmer water, and gradually move down to the cooler end - and the walk back is all downhill!

The pool is deep, and being in the shadow is just lovely.

El Questro is a privately owned station, run as part cattle station, and in part as accommodation and tourist facilities. Lots of walks, through amazing gorges, or a boat ride, or helicopter/plane trips.
