The Boys From Brazil

We had the hedge done today. It’s long, thick, with mixed stuff in it.. And it was a mess of hugely uneven bushy proportions.

Not any more.

A hedge is like hair. If it gets out of control you get depressed and suffer low self esteem. You take to alcohol, stop caring about your appearance, shout randomly at strangers. Eventually you just slump in front of the tv, give up eating properly and stop answering the phone. 

Okay bit of an exaggeration. But a well kept hedge is a major contributor to your wellbeing and the Boys From Brazil - three gardeners from that one country - did a magnificent job for us yesterday. That is one straight line of green. And it makes me feel good. Even when raining (again). This has been such a wet spring.

Also went to my book group lunch today. Very nice three hours of food and banter…
