sheep country
I've had a nice slow day today. This photo was taken on my way back from the church Plant Sale in Dunscore, which is always a very popular. I walked there and back, which meant that I didn't have to worry about parking, but also I couldn't buy any plants. That didn't matter since I was really there for the purpose of socialising, as were a lot of other people, I suspect. It was lovely to talk to folk I'd not seen for a while, though there were others whom I never even got the chance to say "hello" to as it was so busy.
Joanna and I headed straight into the hall for coffee and we had a good chat which is to be continued...
As we left, we had to pass the "Bric a brac" stall. Mary caught us and encouraged us to part with some money (towards a new roof for the Manse). Joanna came away with a pasta-making machine for £3 and I spent the princely sum of 50p on a small handprinted dish with a hare on it from Estrela de Conimbriga, a place Sarah and I had visited on our Camino.
D was visited this afternoon by a friend from art college and her partner. I did some gardening, planting some more broad beans, lettuce, chard and kale. It's still pretty chilly out of the sun.
