Flower Friday 26_2024

Back blip! Was not much fun getting up to no heating or hot water but managed to wash in cold water! Then to get warm went out to coffee in the William yard! Got home to text Mark, the builder, and he came round for a catch up! He has been working very hard to sort out the wiring, remove the gas fire to bin and the radiator to replace in the hallway! He has chopped a new entrance to the lounge and created a little more space in the hallway for a picture or two! We talked about the patio doors and the front door and the putting a coir mat in the hallway at the front door and parquet for the rest. He has removed a cupboard in the lounge and created a new roof space and relocated the water switch off point with a hatch to open! He is very thoughtful about adding sockets and lighting points and switches and making the light when one comes down the stairs to the front door a switch on with movement and one at re front door a switch on with movement! He has also uncovered an area of possible damp which may need to be sorted! Am trying not to think of the bottom line! He will do a fabulous job for which I will be immensely grateful! However for the next week I have to live here while he is working with only a bedroom to sit in! Fortunately next Friday I go to dig sit for sky again and then I am off to Cardiff for a week leaving mark free rein to do what he thinks is good!
