Florence

An amazing wonderful day in Florence. I have been twice before with Simon the last time must be about 14 years ago. We never went in the Uffizzi so that’s what I wanted to do. I had bought tickets weeks ago and I’m glad I did. I was very happy to see the gelato shop exactly where I remembered it!
It was pouring with rain. Angela and I left the group and I gave her a short walking tour past the duomo and up to the Accademia past 2 churches that were beautiful. . Our timed entry was 1pm so we got there in time then joined the longest queue but fortunately it moved fast and we got in no problem. it was a superb experience even with all the people. We took our time but felt we’d had enough by 3pm . On our way to the meeting point a reviving beer and a delicious gelato. My feet are done in tonight. Over 7 miles walked and tons of photos.
