Salt & Pepper

Not a whole lot of fireworks going on in New Zealand for the 4th of July, although they probably don't celebrate it as the Americans do either... So for all you Americans out there, Happy 4th of July!

Anyway, I celebrated by going down the road to a café and restaurant where I enjoy reading and watching people walk past the windows. They had a seafood chowder on the Specials board, so I didn't mind if I did. The added smoked salmon and spinach to the chowder was delicious and paired nicely with the multigrain toast side.

Time for a nap.
