"A Puzzlement."

       To quote "The King" in "The King & I."  The flowers I spotted yonks ago have "been and gone".  Now I see these funny little items.
      Whatever they are, are in the centre of the pic.  The new growth I/we are accustomed to seeing are clearly visible at top left & bottom right - AND - I don't recollect seeing these wee feathery things before.
       Oddly, even u sing the same search engine in the same browser I get different results.  First look said a group of male flowers, with one female at the head, each "bunch" yielding one Berry/Pod; this search not found.
      Anybody know what I 'm seeing here? OR wait and see, as usual.
