Elder flowers

My first ever attempt at elderflower cordial and sorbet. I was a little worried when I poured on the hot syrup. I thought the flowers were supposed to be pleasantly fragrant but they smelt so nasty I put the bowls outside to infuse. But after steeping for hours , straining and adding the lemon juice both cordial and sorbet turned out just as they should
