wander, stumble, wonder

It's been a good day. My morning started out as a slog that turned into jubilation when one of my dissertation maps just clicked and I realised it showed me exactly what I need to see. You don't need to understand, just jump up and down with me and it'll be fine. Then I got to go on a walking tour of Norwich (via H&M to buy a new belt after mine fell apart), as a helper (or teaching assistant as official things say) on one of the history international summer schools. I'll be heading along on most of the field trips for this course, and they seem a pretty nice group so it should be nicely amusing.

On my way home I bumped into a friend and we ended up shopping for a little while-I was excited about my mapping revelation, but not THAT excited. Then dinner, some more writing, an episode of Heroes (never seen it before, but I'm getting into it for my easy-watching tv at the moment), and some more writing. Now I've written my paragraphs explaining one particular map, so I can cross that off my list and work on developing my argument around today's realisation.

Tomorrow it's meant to be warmish, I'm thinking a solo trip to do some work on a beach somewhere might be in order. ;)
