Bluebells Everywhere
One of our plans for the weekend had been to seek out bluebells in some of the local woods around Battle.
Well, it turns out we didn't have to go too far. We stepped out of the gate on the campsite, intending to take the mile long footpath to the local, village of Catsfield and discovered we were walking through a private woodland with carpets of beautiful bluebells. Oh I was so happy. The half hour walk turned into an hour.
At the end of the walk, we had a drink in the village pub and chatted to the lovely local people ending their busy week with a well deserved beer or two. Jak got lots of treats and cuddles, we got lots of tips on local walks.
Then we walked back (eyes front, no stopping) and made it back in half an hour. Lovely.
