Friday Flowers
A very chilly start to the day, 4°C but it soon warmed up and we had lots of sunshine, but wind still very chilly from the sea.
Made a big pan of lentil and veggies soup, which was enjoyed by both of us at lunchtime - MrD on deliveries all day.
After lunch I continued planting the seeds sown last year which have made good sized plants. Everything which I can plant out will go into the flower borders in order to reduce number of pots which needed watering daily.
Had 2 lovely surprises this afternoon, today’s Blip:
A newly opened Clematis growing in the twisted hazel, bought minus its label so no idea what it is!
About half a dozen Cuckoo Flower or Lady’s Smock (Cardamine pratensis) which have popped up in the front garden where the wild orchids appeared last year … fingers crossed for repeat performance in a few weeks time :-)
